Constant technical collaboration with ceramic tile manufacturers has enabled Novaref to expand its product portfolio. After conducting in-depth analyses and surveys across a representative sample of customers located in multiple countries, Novaref developed its new NOVA HD rollers. Unveiled at Tecna 2022, these rollers are now available and have already been installed at a number of facilities. These new rollers have a high level of durability and are extremely wear-resistant, an important quality in kilns given their exposure to severe chemical attack. These characteristics, together with the use of high-quality raw materials, make them ideal for prolonged and intensive use. NOVA HD rollers reduce cleaning and maintenance and ensure greater production continuity, an optimized workflow and improved energy efficiency of the kiln. With their smoother and less permeable surface, they are ideal for coping with the aggressive environment present inside kilns. They minimize chemical attack and provide greater protection against alkaline vapours, allowing for high quality results.
Novaref recommends installing these rollers starting from the pre-firing area.
In addition, NOVA HD rollers offer excellent bending resistance at high temperatures. This makes them equally suitable for the production of extra-thick tiles and for thin panels. The rollers maintain their shape and rigidity even when subjected to significant mechanical stress at high temperatures.
Installing NOVA HD rollers in the pre-firing and firing zones in conjunction with NOVA SICAR rollers (65% silicon carbide) in the rapid cooling zone is the ideal solution for minimizing tile defects during the production cycle.
